Applications
Applications with the complete documents according to the application form are to be submitted in digital form. Applications should be based on the Foundation’s purpose and the priorities of the Foundation as defined by the Board of Trustees. Before submitting a new application, a final report on the last project supported by our Foundation must be submitted digitally.
The Foundation Board meets twice a year: in January and in June.
As a rule, the Foundation Board decides on the support of the submitted projects at its meeting in January. These must be submitted in advance by 15 December.
Projects of great urgency can be submitted by 15 May for the June meeting.

The Foundation Board assesses the projects received according to following criteria:
- Necessity and urgency for nature conservation
- Trustworthiness and scientific seriousness of the project promoters
- Chances of success of the project
- Sustainability of the project’s impact
- Anchoring of the project in local structures
- Necessity and urgency of the financial requirement
- Sustainability of the project’s financing
- Possibility of tapping further sources of funding
